The cold weather kit helps your Generac generator start reliably in extremely cold weather.  Here in Ottawa, generators without cold weather kits often won’t start, because critical components get covered in frost or simply get too cold.  The cold weather kit keeps your battery and oil warm warm enough that your standby generator can consistently and predictably start when you need it to.

• 1 oil warmer

What do you need to install a Generac cold weather kit yourself?

You’ll need a set of Allen wrenches and side cutters (diagonal pliers).

How much is the cold weather kit?

$399 if you buy it from Powers Servicing.

Can Powers Servicing install the cold weather kit for me?

Yes.  That’s a separate service, because it involves both parts and labor.  $399 is the cost for just the kit, in case you’re a do-it-yourselfer.

Do you ship the cold weather kit?

Yes.  We’ll ship it anywhere in Canada.  Of course, if you’re in the Ottawa area, you can pick it up in-person or we can bring it by.
