Stittsville doesn’t sit still. Once a hamlet of a few hundred people only a couple generations back, it’s now one of the Ottawa area’s fastest-growing communities, with roughly 20 residential projects working through the approval or construction pipeline at any given time. New neighbourhoods like Blackstone, Fernbank Crossing, Shea Village, and Abbott’s Run are filling in the Fernbank area, apartments are going up along Hazeldean Road and Stittsville Main Street, and a good chunk of the people moving in work just down the road in the Kanata tech park.
